It’s all about Volleyball!

Intramurals is not just for cheer dance and basketball that is considered as the most awaited part of it, volleyball is also one of them. ACLC College Intramural was composed of four members namely the Red Knights, Blue Pirates, Gold Titans, and the Green Spartans. Different students in different sections and courses play as a group enchanting their skills in playing the game to get the bacon that they want to have by the end of the said event.

First day, September 29, 2010, after the cheer dance competition the game was started. In male division Blue Pirates and Red Knights are in the first game. Blue Pirates got the first win while it is the first lose for the Red Knights. Second game was the Green Spartans and the Gold Titans. One win for Gold and one lose for the Green. The next game is for the teams with one lose each, the Red Knights versus the Green Spartans, Spartans made it. Red Knights had their two loses which brought them to the last spot.

In Women’s division, the Green Spartans and Blue Pirates had the first game. Green Spartans made it. One win for the Green and one lose for the Blue. Second game was the Red Knights and the Gold Titans, as expected Red Knights got it. For the next game, Blue Pirates and Gold Titans faced each other, Blue made it against the Pirates. After the 3^rd Game, the Red Knights and the Green Spartans followed, unfortunately and unexpected the Red Knights got its first lose that made the Spartans waiting for the championship for the next day. The last game for the said day was Red Knights vs. Blue Pirates. After the 5 minutes break and rest, the game started; the battle for success or battle for failure. Whoever win will face the Green Spartans for a chance to be the champion, and the other will face the battle for third or fourth place. The game seems like it was the championship already, close fight between the two teams but by the end of it, we made it. The Red Knights made it against the Blue Pirates.

Second day, September 30, 2010, it was the Championship game that started by 9:30 in the morning. First game in Women’s division was the battle for third, the Blue Pirates and the Gold Titans. Five sets per game, best of three. The team who wins by three sets will win. Blue Pirates got the third place and automatically speaking, Gold Titans got the last spot. The next game was the battle for 1^st, the Red Knights vs. the waiting team, Green Spartans. Both teams are good, but at the end of it the best team excels, the Red Knights made it to the top!

In male division, first game was the battle for 3^rd, Red Knights vs. Gold Titans. Gold Titans got the 3^rd spot and unfortunately, the Red Knights for the last spot. The battle for champion, Blue Pirates against the Green Spartans. They had a good fight, everybody’s nervous but at the end of it, only one team made it, the Blue Pirates!

Wednesday, September 29, 2010,start the scheduled date for the intramurals. This is a generalized category, which examples of all the indoor games like basketball, dart, chess. Also the pictures included with each category helps you in getting a better understanding of the sport. These is the games in indoor games and sports of ACLC Intramurals.

People have invented Indoor games and sports to amuse themselves when confined within a house or other building. Often these are played in social or family situations, or when darkness or bad weather prevent people from moving outside. This sport created because they want mental capabilities. Out of these games chess is a mental battle game, which does not requires any physical stress but a lot of mental capability is tested through the game.

Such amusements have been developed throughout the world. Some, especially those for young children, are largely a matter of luck. Others require a great deal of skill on the part of the players.

In chess game all the players of GREEN, BLUE, GOLD, RED fight with each other within these games. Throughout this they want to test the mental capabilities of their student and to give joy, not to be bored. Like others student give their best to win the price of a particular games. Me as 3^rd year student saw what they did to won that games: committee. I don’t see all and who is the winner but what I see is the players is happy and give courage to fulfill the sport what they want.

DARTS COMPETITION

The Green Spartans won for over-all points of 44 points , gold (36) , red knights (30), Blue Pirates (30) points.

For all the competion (event) the over- all winner is the Green Spartans who own all other other teams. Specially for their coach who help them and support them for what all they do. These is what happen in INTRAMURALS of AMACLC College Baliuag. They want their student to participate recreational activities so that not all students good in physical but to show their talent in mental activities.

Wednesday, September 29, 2010, a cloudy and partly rainy day to start the scheduled date for the intramurals.

Everyone is excited with this event because we will be witnessing the activities full of adrenaline. The parade of the four teams started with the Blue Pirates, followed by the Gold Titans, then the Red Knights, and lastly, the Green Spartans.

All the players, Muses and the members of each team formed their lines to assemble inside the Bustos Gymnasium. After the parade the program proper started hosted by Ms. Trinity Reyes and Mr. Ernest Timothy Flores.

The program started with the opening prayer led by John Pangilinan and Joan Rosales. Then the singing of the National Anthem and the AMA Hymn led by Princess Jane Mapoy came next. After that, the emcees called each team to show off their cheers for their teams. Each team really exerted effort for the cheers! Some made split, vertical jump and tremendous voices shouting their cheers. After all the cheers, the Administrative Assistant Ms. Jeck R. Mendoza delivered her opening remarks for the intramurals. Afterwards, the flags of each team were rise in the poles. After that, the torch parade led by Oneth Hipolito to mark the start of the game.

After the opening ceremony, the presentation of Muse and the Ms. Gay came next to the program where they ramp in front of the audience and the judges. The Hailed Ms. Intrams is from the Green Spartans while the Ms. Gay is from the Gold Titans. Indeed, they are really stunning and made the crowd shout so loud!

Next with the Ms. Intrams and Ms. Gay is the most awaited cheer dance competition in which all of the team really made a big effort. With just looking with their costumes, I can say that it is really exciting and will be fun to watch. The Blue Pirates came first. Followed by the Gold Titans and then the Red Knights which I belong and also I am a part of the cheer dance of the red knights. After our presentation comes the last performer, the Green Spartans. Well, after seeing all the performances, I am very confident that my team will be the champion. :D after the cheer dance competition, the ball games started to play! The Student Council Officers were very busy selling the tickets of their fund raising project – the CellPhoNalo, a cell phone raffle draw.

After two days of games in Bustos Gym, classes resumed by October 1. Because it is the first Friday of the month, a mass was held in our school. After that, the awarding of the winners of each event. Special awards were also given to those who have showed a great game in basketball, and volleyball. The Most Valuable Players were also awarded. As I was expected, in the cheer dance competition, our team was the champion! All the hard work is worth it!

At the last part of the awarding, Ma’am Trinity and Sir Ernest finally announced the Over-all Champion for the Intramurals 2010 which is the Green Spartans who got 195 points followed by the Red Knights with 186 point, then the Blue Pirates with 155 points and the least team is the Gold Titans.

Another Intramurals had passed. Till next year! ^^
